The short version

  • We collect only what we need to run a motorcycle rental service.
  • We do not sell your data. Ever.
  • The other person in a booking sees what they need to meet you and hand over the bike, and nothing more.
  • You can ask to see, fix or delete your data at any time.

01Who is responsible

Zeven Tech AB, company number 559469-2609, Grevebergsgatan 20, 426 56 Västra Frölunda, is responsible for your personal data. In legal terms we are the data controller. You reach us at support@ridekickstand.com.

02What we collect

  • Your account: your name, your sign-in details and your contact details.
  • Your invite: who invited you, and who you have invited.
  • Your licence: the licence classes you hold, so we can show which bikes you are allowed to ride.
  • Your motorcycle, if you are an owner: make, model, registration number and the details in your listing.
  • Your bookings: dates, places, prices, messages between you and the other person, and any problems that are reported.
  • Photos: the condition photos you take of the bike at pickup and return.
  • Payments: when payments go live, our payment provider handles your card or bank details. We see that a payment was made, not your full card number.
  • Technical data: device type, app version and logs that help us find errors and stop misuse.

03Why we use it

The law says we need a good reason for each use. These are ours.

  • To run the service you signed up for: accounts, bookings, handovers and support. We do this because of our agreement with you.
  • To keep Kickstand safe: checking licences, keeping a photo record, looking into incidents and stopping fraud. We do this because we, and you, have a legitimate interest in a safe service.
  • To follow the law, for example bookkeeping rules. We do this because we have to.
  • To make the app better during the beta: finding bugs and seeing which features are used. We do this because we have a legitimate interest in improving Kickstand.
  • To send push notifications about your bookings. We only do this if you allow it on your phone.

04AI features

Some parts of the app use AI. The trip planner reads what you type to suggest a plan, and the photo check looks at condition photos to see that they are clear and show the bike. For this we use an AI service from Anthropic. We send only what the feature needs.

Decisions that matter, like who is responsible for damage, are always made by people.

05Who we share it with

  • The other person in your booking. They see your name, the bike, the dates and the messages you send them.
  • Companies that help us run Kickstand, such as hosting, sign-in, payment and AI services. They may only use your data to do their job for us. Current list: Anthropic (AI).
  • Our insurance partner, when rental protection goes live. They get what is needed to cover a rental and handle a claim.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.

We never sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.

06Where we keep it

We store your data on servers in Sweden. If one of our providers handles data outside the EU or EEA, we make sure it is protected with the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the EU standard contractual clauses.

07How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account we remove or anonymise your data within 30 days, except for what we must keep by law.

Swedish bookkeeping law requires us to keep payment records for seven years. Photos and incident records are kept for 365 days after a rental ends, in case a problem shows up later.

08Your rights

You have the right to:

  • see what data we hold about you and get a copy of it
  • have wrong data corrected
  • have your data deleted
  • ask us to limit how we use your data, or object to it
  • take your data with you to another service
  • withdraw a consent you have given

To use any of these rights, write to support@ridekickstand.com. We answer within one month. If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) at imy.se.

09This website

This website does not use cookies and does not track you. It loads no scripts, fonts or images from other companies. Like most web servers, ours keeps a short log of visits (IP address, time and page) to keep the site running and safe. We do not use that log for anything else.

10Age

Kickstand is for people who are 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data about anyone younger.

11Changes to this policy

Kickstand is in beta, so this policy will change as the service grows. When we make a change that matters, we tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
