The short version

  • Kickstand is in beta and invite only. It can change, pause or break.
  • Be honest, ride legally and treat other people's bikes as if they were your own.
  • Owners are responsible for their bikes being legal and safe to ride. Riders are responsible for how they ride.
  • If something goes wrong, tell us in the app right away.

01About Kickstand

Kickstand is a service where motorcycle owners rent their bikes to other riders. It is run by Zeven Tech AB, company number 559469-2609. We provide the app and the rules. The rental itself is an agreement between the owner and the rider.

02Kickstand is in beta

Beta means the app is not finished. Features can change or disappear, the app can be unavailable, and there will be bugs. We may need to reset or remove data during the beta. If we do, we will try to tell you first.

Some parts, like real payments and rental protection, are not live yet. Before they go live we will update these terms and ask you to accept them again.

03Invites

You can only join Kickstand with an invite from a member. If you get invites to share, give them to people you know and trust.

Invites are personal. You may not sell them or post them in public. We can take back an invite, or close an account that came from one, if these terms are broken.

04Your account

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • Give us real and correct information, and keep it up to date.
  • One person, one account.
  • Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.

05If you rent a bike

  • You must hold a valid licence for the bike during the whole rental.
  • Only you may ride it. Do not lend it to anyone else.
  • Follow the traffic rules. Never ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • No racing, track days or off-road riding, unless the owner has agreed to it in writing in the app.
  • Bring the bike back on time, to the agreed place, in the same condition as when you got it.
  • You pay for your own fuel, fines, tolls and parking fees during the rental.

06If you rent out your bike

  • You must own the bike, or have the right to rent it out.
  • The bike must be registered, insured and roadworthy, and it must have passed inspection where that is required.
  • Describe the bike honestly, including faults you know about.
  • Hand it over clean, working and with what the rider needs to ride it legally.
  • Check with your own insurance company what applies when you rent out your bike.
  • You are responsible for reporting and paying any tax on what you earn.

07Bookings and payment

A booking is confirmed when it has been accepted in the app. Prices, fees and cancellation rules are shown in the app before you confirm.

Once payments are live, all payments for a rental must go through Kickstand. Do not arrange payment on the side.

08Pickup and return

At pickup and at return you go through the bike together and take the condition photos the app asks for. The photos are your shared record of what shape the bike was in. If you skip them, it is much harder for us to help if you disagree later.

09When something goes wrong

If there is an accident, a theft or an emergency, call 112 first. Then report it in the app as soon as you can.

Report damage, late returns and other problems in the app too. We look at what both sides say and at the photos, and we may hold a payout while we do.

10What is not allowed

  • Giving false information or pretending to be someone else.
  • Using Kickstand for anything illegal.
  • Threatening, harassing or discriminating against other members.
  • Going around the app to avoid fees.
  • Copying, scraping or trying to break the app or the service.

11Our responsibility

We work hard to make Kickstand safe and reliable, but during the beta we provide the service as it is. We are not a party to the rental between owner and rider, and we are not responsible for the condition of a bike or for how someone rides.

We are responsible for damage that we cause through our own negligence. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under Swedish law.

12Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time, in the app or by writing to us. Bookings that are under way must be finished or cancelled first.

We can pause or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people at risk.

13Changes to these terms

We will tell you in the app or by email before new terms take effect. If you keep using Kickstand after that, you accept the new terms. If you do not agree, you can stop using Kickstand and delete your account.

14Law and disputes

Swedish law applies to these terms. If we disagree about something, talk to us first. If we cannot solve it together, you as a consumer can turn to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN) at arn.se. A dispute can also be settled by a Swedish court.
